About Us
Young People We Care (YPWC) is a youth-led, non-profit organization based in Ghana which is entirely run and operated by university-aged young people. At YPWC, we are passionate about sustainable development, the realization of the Millennium Development Goals and the promotion of a culture of peace and universal human rights for all.
Our Mission
The mission of Young People We Care (YWPC)is to empower young people to take action on issues directly affecting them. Working together with young people, we focus on creating sustainable livelihoods, investing in education and developing the capacity for youth to foster active civic engagement to create lasting changes in their own lives and communities.
Our Vision
We envision a world without poverty and inequalities, where youth live and grow to achieve their personal, family and community aspirations as productive and active citizens.
Our Values
Commited to ethical and responsible actions and activities in the service of communities and people.
Live the Mission
We are a passionate team of young people who are purpose driven and committed to our vision. We seek to empower our staff and volunteers with the resources and team spirit needed to make collective socio-economic change.
See potential in youth everywhere.
We believe that every young person, regardless of where they live or their social status, has unique potential, skills, ideas and energy that can be harnessed for personal, family and community development.
Partner for Impact
We believe effective youth development can only be achieved through collaboration, communication, and partnerships with individuals, families, government, private sector, civil society and communities.
Always learning
We perform research, monitoring and evaluation, allowing us to prioritize evidence based practices and interventions that work. We share information internally and externally in order to celebrate innovations in the field of youth development.
Ownership
We take ownership in achieving results that make sustainable impacts across society and in the everyday lives of young people – especially marginalized youth – and their future.
